This project encompasses most of the work I created during my time at SAIC. Each piece within the collection investigates familial relationships focusing on topics like inherited values and prescribed identities using architectural remnants and furnishings as a medium. Because the majority of family interactions take place within a domestic sphere, most of the research is rooted in the context of my own experience of home: the traditional South. Each piece interrogates the overlap between architecture, exhibition, and how lived experiences effect space.
